About

From engineer to maker

3DtoPrints began in 2020 as an engineer's side project and grew into a full design and print service. Today we make functional parts, prototypes and personalised pieces for customers across Melbourne, with every job checked by an engineer before it leaves the studio.

Our story

How 3DtoPrints started

I'm Mithilesh, a mechanical engineer. In 2020, during the pandemic, there weren't many engineering jobs around, so I turned my 3D printing hobby into a way to solve real problems: a part that's no longer sold, a bracket that doesn't exist yet, a gift that needs a personal touch.

Those simple designs grew into a full design and print service. Today I make replacement parts, product prototypes, address light boxes and personalised gifts for makers, startups and everyday customers across Melbourne, all from my studio in Chadstone.

How I work

An engineer behind every print

Engineered, not just printed

Every file is checked for strength, fit and printability before anything is printed, so parts that need to work, work.

Honest advice upfront

I'll tell you what will work well, what could be a problem and which material suits the job, before you commit to anything.

Refined until it fits

For tricky parts, I'm happy to adjust the design and do test prints until it's right. You approve the price before printing starts.
